Position Description: SuperTechs is looking for a professional and dependable individual with excellent computer skills.  Individual must have proficient knowledge of networking, hardware, and software.  In addition, they must be able to solve problems off-site and in our computer labs. Individual must have a desire to learn and challenge themselves.  Level 2 Technicians assist medium to small sized business and will be required to work with servers, back up systems, MS Exchange, and security software.

Responsibilities:

Assist Level 1 Technicians when needed

MS Operating System repair and reloads

Software and hardware troubleshooting and repair

Data back ups

Networking issues

Spyware and virus detection and removal

Technology research

Building low to high-end computer systems

Upgrade recommendations

PDA support

E-mail and Internet repair and support

Misc. computer and network troubleshooting

Server Migrations

Networking - sharing databases, network printer’s map drives…

Pushing out server software, install software on servers 

Setting up, troubleshooting, and repair of MS Exchange

LAN/WAN troubleshooting and repair

Working with Ethernet hubs, switches, TCP/IP and network configuration

Installation and configuration of firewalls, wireless access points, hubs, switches and routers

Specific Qualifications:

Must have at least three years of experience in computer repair

Must be willing to travel to customer locations for on-site repair when needed

Capable of handling server migrations successfully

Ability to share databases, network printer’s map drives

Ability to push out server software, install software on servers

In depth knowledge of MS Exchange is a must

In depth knowledge of Windows 2000, NT and XP OS

LAN/WAN experience including Ethernet hubs, switches, TCP/IP and network configuration

Experience in installation and configuration of firewalls, wireless access points, hubs, switches and routers

Problem solver with excellent trouble shooting skills

High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
